# Privacy

The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and a quote request goes only to the businesses you choose before you send it.

**Draft, to be reviewed before launch.**

## What we collect

- **Quote requests:** your job details, ZIP code, name and contact, sent only to the businesses you tick on the form.
- **Corrections and messages:** what you write and your email, used only to reply.
- **Visits:** privacy-friendly, cookieless page counts. No advertising trackers.

## People in the records

Permit records name job sites and owners. We count permits per business and never publish a homeowner's name or address.

## Your choices

Ask us to see or delete what we hold about you through the [contact form](https://thelocalproof.com/contact/). We act within 30 days.

[Local **Proof**](https://thelocalproof.com/)

Proof that a business actually does the work: permits, review history and public records, each with its source and date. What a business only claims is labelled as a claim.

**How we make money.** Businesses can pay for profile tools and lead notifications, and may pay when you send them a quote request. Money can't add a permit, change a date or move a business up a list. Sponsored placements are labelled.
